Sister Florence College of Nursing
Message from the Bishop, CNI
Chairman of Sister Florence College of Nursing
Dear Students, Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
It gives me profound joy to welcome you to Sister Florence College of Nursing. Our Lord Jesus Christ, during His earthly life, engaged Himself compassionately with the sufferings and pain of the people. He said that His mission in the world was to heal the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty for those who are oppressed;
Through these words, Jesus Christ has given us the mandate to be instruments of hearing in a world filled with sorrow and sickness.
I do believe that part of God’s healing ministry is to have hands that offer tender care and the healing touch. It is here that the role of nursing comes in as part of God’s desire to grant healing and wholeness of life to all people. The college aims to empower and equip you to carry out this great responsibility of caring and loving God’s people.
"May God strengthen you to become true agents of His healing and may you like Florence Nightingale continue throughout your nursing career to nurse the sick and tend to their wounds with true compassion and commitment."
God Bless You All.
The Rt. Revd. Dr. Paritosh Canning
Bishop of Calcutta Diocese, & Chairman, CNI
